I. Working Principle of Hydraulic Actuators:
A hydraulic actuator is an actuator that uses hydraulic oil as its power source to perform actions. Hydraulic actuators typically have a unitary structure, where the actuator and regulating mechanisms are a unified whole. The actual application rate of hydraulic actuators is the lowest among the three types of actuators (electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic). Only some large-scale work scenarios use hydraulic actuators.
II. Advantages of Hydraulic Actuators:
Hydraulic actuators have a higher output thrust than pneumatic and electric actuators, and their output torque can be precisely adjusted according to requirements and reflected through hydraulic instruments. Hydraulic actuators provide smoother and more reliable transmission, with buffering and no impact, suitable for working environments with high transmission requirements. Hydraulic actuators have high adjustment accuracy and fast response speed, enabling high-precision control. Hydraulic actuators use hydraulic oil for drive; the liquid itself is incompressible, so hydraulic actuators easily achieve good anti-deviation capability. Hydraulic actuators are equipped with accumulators, which can perform one or more operations in the event of a power failure, reducing the damage and impact on the production system in emergencies, especially suitable for long-distance pipeline automatic control. Hydraulic actuators use hydraulic drive; since sparking, a common phenomenon in electric equipment, does not occur during operation, their explosion-proof performance is higher than that of electric actuators.
III. Disadvantages of Hydraulic Actuators:
Hydraulic actuators require external hydraulic system support. Operating a hydraulic actuator requires a hydraulic station and oil pipelines, resulting in higher initial investment and more installation work compared to electric and pneumatic actuators. Therefore, hydraulic actuators are only used in larger work scenarios.
IV. Applications of Hydraulic Actuators:
The installation characteristics of hydraulic actuators determine that they are only suitable for special working conditions with high actuator control requirements. Currently, hydraulic actuators are only used in large power plants, petrochemical plants, and other enterprises.
Main products of hydraulic actuators include: HES miniature angle stroke hydraulic actuators, SY-YD series angle stroke hydraulic actuators, YDSC series linear stroke hydraulic actuators,
Angle stroke actuators are generally used for opening and closing 90-degree rotary valves, while linear stroke hydraulic actuators are mainly used for opening and closing shut-off valves and gate valves.
