How to choose an electric actuator that's right for you?

First, determine the type of electric device
Electric actuator Generally, there are four categories: multi-turn electric devices, partial-turn electric devices, linear electric actuators, and angle electric actuators. This is based on the operating mode of the electric actuator. Because the operating mode of the valve or similar equipment determines the operating mode of the electric actuator. Although Electric actuator there are many operating modes, linear actuators and multi-turn electric devices can be converted through technical means. Similarly, angle electric actuators and partial-turn electric devices can also be converted by adding or subtracting a rocker arm.
Second, determine the force or torque to be output by the electric device
For multi-turn electric devices, partial-turn electric devices, and angle electric actuators, the important parameter is torque, with the unit being N.m. The opening or closing of the valve requires torque to act on it. If the torque is too small, it may not be able to close or open completely. For linear electric actuators, the important parameter is force, with the unit being N. Similarly, if the force is too small, it will also cause the valve to fail to open or close. Therefore, in Electric actuator the selection process, follow a simple principle: it's better to choose a larger one than a smaller one.
Third, functional selection of electric devices
You need to determine the function you want the electric device to achieve. It is generally divided into three categories: First: ordinary electric devices. This type of electric device has a simple dial to display the valve's on/off status, and external control requires an electric device control box, which is a basic model. Second: electromechanical integrated electric devices. This type of electric device has a built-in control box, which is called electromechanical integration. It has an LCD display, can feedback a 4~20mA standard signal, and can determine the fully open, fully closed, and uncertain intermediate positions of the valve, namely on/off control. Third: regulating electric devices. The difference from electromechanical integrated electric devices lies in the different control methods; analog control, which can receive and feedback a 4~20mA standard signal, so that precise regulation of the valve can be achieved, and the fully open, fully closed, and precise intermediate positions of the valve can be determined.
Fourth: selection of some additional functions.
Electric actuator Generally, it includes whether remote control (adding a non-invasive module) is needed, whether explosion-proof is needed, etc.
Fifth: determination of the parameters of the electric device
For example, the voltage used, the valve opening and closing time, etc.
Through the above five steps, you can choose one that suits you Electric actuator 。 Dalian Hongbo Electric Power Engineering is a leading domestic agent for the CDG brand.
